The node
Download the RSA Press node
The node is a small Windows program that runs on your own PC. It keeps your broker credentials encrypted on that machine, holds the connection to your account, and runs the orders the cloud sends. Broker traffic leaves from your own connection, not a data-centre address.
Download
RsaPressNode-0.3.0.zip · sha256 ecbeb9091dd0859edf32a653366b5e622d06c30c6c69561b760ea4c381d0f597
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Unzip it somewhere you can keep it, and keep the folder together. There is no installer and no admin rights are needed.
Four steps
01 · Unzip
Right-click the download and choose Extract All.
rsapress_node.exe
needs the _internal folder that sits beside it, so run it from where you unzipped it.
02 · Pair
Double click
rsapress_node.exe. A page opens in your browser on this PC.
On your board press New code, then Pair this PC (or type the code into that page).
No page? Run rsapress_node.exe --pair YOUR-CODE in that folder instead.
03 · Link a broker
On that same page, press Link Robinhood (or Fennel, or Public). Robinhood
opens its own sign in page; the other two ask you to paste a key. The login is saved on this PC only.
04 · Leave it running
Keep the node running while plays are live. It does not need to be in
front of you, but it does need to be running.
What it does, and what it asks of you
It must stay running for trades to fire
A buy or a sell only happens while the node is running. If your PC is off
or the node is closed, automatic buys wait in your account and run when it comes back,
unless the buy window has closed. Nothing is ever placed from the cloud.
Your credentials stay encrypted on your machine
You link a broker on this PC (rsapress_node.exe --link robinhood, fennel or
publicapi). The login is encrypted on your machine under a key only it holds, and it never
travels to us.
It updates itself
When it starts, and every few hours after that, the node asks this site for
the current build, checks that RSA Press signed the update and that the download matches
its checksum, and replaces itself. The previous build is kept aside until the new one has started. You never reinstall
by hand.
Windows only, for now
The node ships as a Windows build today (Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit).
macOS and Linux are not supported yet.
